RC model toys - 1

The starting procedure for model tank with a fuel engine

A general starting procedure for starting an internal combustion engine is described here, but always read the instructions of the supplier of your model RC tank.

(1) Place the tank on an increase or a block of wood so that all wheels are off the ground and the tank yet sturdy and stable.

(2) Turn on the transmitter first, then the receiver and servos in the tank. Check the operation of the receiver and servos and make sure that the trim controls on the remote control in the neutral position.

(3) Fill the tank with appropriate fuel

(4) Press the choke knob until the fuel reaches the carburetor. Or keep a finger on the outlet a few times while you quietly pull the starter cable pulls. As a result, the pressure in the outlet via the pressure hose pumps fuel to the carburetor.

(5) Connect the glow plug lighter with full battery

(6) Pull out a few times recently and forcefully to pull the starter cord a few seconds or press the start button on an electric start system.

(6a) If the engine fails to start, then the adjustment of the throttle servo trim a few clicks so that the throttle open a few millimeters, and repeat the procedure starting from step 5.

(7) If the engine is started, give some short bumps gas through the throttle on the remote control to the engine to warm up. To do this, from idle to half throttle, and do this two or three time.

(8) If the idle speed of diecast cars is stabilized, remove the glow plug lighter and possibly adjust the servo trim on the remote control back in the neutral position.

The stop / disable a fuel engine

A fuel engine can be disabled in several ways, one way is to remove the air filter and a finger on the hole in the carburetor again. The engine will get no more air and suffocating directly. Another way is closed by the pressing of the exhaust.
The Electrical Measures for RC Tanks

Electric motors for model RC tank are equipped with interference suppressor capacitors to interference at the transmitter and receiver equipment to prevent. The most common engine type model in scale 1:10 electric tanks is a '540-size engine. Other sizes are also available, and these are usually used in other classes scale. There are special motors available which have a very high level of performance. These engines are fully adjustable and adaptable, can be completely disassembled and tuned. The components of such high performance engines (such as the rotor, housing, brushes etc.) can be adapted, changed and replaced.

A '540-size electric Power supply

The most common power source for 1:10 electric powered model diecast cars are six-volume Ni-Cd and Ni-MH battery packs. Ni-CD stands for nickel and Ni-MH Cadnium means Nickel Metal Hydride. These battery packs consist of six battery cells of 1.2 volts, acting jointly in the pack 7.2 volt supply. These packs are often an indication as 7.2 V or 7.2 V-1.700mAh - 2.400mAh. The '7, 2V 'in the designation means that the battery pack voltage and 7.2 volts at the '1 .700' refers to the power in (milli) amps (i.e. capacity) of the battery. A higher capacity means longer travel time. The latest generation of Ni-MH rechargeable batteries reaches a capacity of more than 4.000mAh.

Charging the battery packs

There are two types of battery chargers for battery packs available for model cars: an AC charger and a DC charger. The first type chargers, AC chargers are powered from the mains, or with 230Volt. The other type, the DC chargers are powered by DC, such as a 12V car battery. A standard battery charger for battery packs of model cars takes about 4 to 8 hours to recharge a battery pack, depending on the capacity of the battery pack. The charging time depends on the maximum charging current of the charger.
Basic Knowledge: Model Tanks With a Fuel Engine

Modern radio controlled model RC tanks with a fuel engine offer the owner a lot of (technical) fun with the power and sound of a real engine adds an extra dimension to the speed and driving pleasure. Keep in mind that RC model tank with fuel engine is suitable only for drivers aged 14 and older.

The radio components

A modern fuel RC vehicle is generally equipped with a two-channel transmitter and receiver set, by which two separate servos can be controlled independently of each other. One servo controls the steering, and the other servo controls both the throttle and the brake. At the receiver, a 6volt battery pack attached for which the necessary power of the two servos and the receiver itself makes. Usually this is i.e. 6 V power from a rechargeable battery pack of five cells each 1.2 Volt battery or a battery holder with four AA batteries.

Requirements for starting a Double horse 9101 model fuel car

Above and beyond fuel, which is suitable for your type of fuel engine (a mixture of methanol, nitro methane and oil), there are a few other necessities for starting a fuel engine: a special glow plug battery, a glow plug heater / lighter with internal battery, oil filter, fuel filter and oil after run.

Two stroke engines, as used in the model cars, are well known for their easy and reliable operation, fuel and air are mixed in the carburetor, and the mixture is sucked in by the engine, compressed, and ignited by means of a glow plug. The "explosion" which is then above the piston is created by the crank shaft that is translated into a rotational movement, with which the vehicle is driven. A correct ratio of fuel and air is essential in this process.
Keep in mind that an outlet can be extremely hot, so you can burn yourself ugly. Another tried and in matches commonly used method is to stop the flywheel.
The Function of Carburetor in RC tank’s fuel engine

The carburetor used in RC tanks fuel engine, is that part of the engine where the fuel is mixed with air in the correct ratio and in which this mixture is sprayed. The throttle controls the total amount of fuel / air which is available for the engine. A fully open throttle drum will have more fuel / air mixture to flow to the engine, so that the engine speed will increase. The main jet needle controls the amount of fuel that must be mixed with the air, and with this needle, the mixture is adjusted to the correct ratio of fuel / air. Less fuel and more air means proportionally, and vice versa means more fuel to air ratio is less. This main jet needle can so the air / fuel ratio optimal adjustment.

The pre-heated glow plug ignites the compressed gases in the combustion chamber above the piston to be compressed, causing an explosion which as a result, makes arise the piston downwards. This piston movement then sets the crank shaft in a rotary movement. As a result of the flywheel effect and a counter weight, the piston will go back up and repeat the cycle. The glow plug will be after the start, after it has been so annealed for each of the above glow plug lighter, carry on to incandescence by the repeated combustion strokes of the piston. The same procedure is used in fuel engine of Double horse 9101 model cars.

The starting mechanism

The pull starter is a way to by hand start the engine and by pulling on a cord which to the rear of the engine is mounted. By time after time fast and concise at the start chorus to pull, the engine will start, if the carburetor a sufficiently good fuel / air mixture provides and a glow plug lighter with full battery on the glow plug is inserted, causing the glow plug when starting procedure optimal glow.

The e-start is an electric starter motor which externally, i.e. independent from the engine, with a special rod in a special starting mechanism placed at the rear of the motor. Pressing the button will start the electric motor drive mechanism, allowing the engine will start, subject to the same conditions as above are met.

A start box is a box type in which an electric starter motor with the drive wheel is mounted. When the flywheel of the engine used in RC tanks is pressed to start this wheel via the starter motor to start the motor flywheel, in other words to start the engine. It will start when provided carburetor and glow plug both are working in the approved manner. And the centrifugal clutch should not be removed.

The centrifugal clutch

A centrifugal clutch ensures that the motor will remain disconnected from the drive until a given speed has been reached. This prevents the Ferrari diecast car from starting to run immediately after it has been started, and ensures that one engine can continue to run without the wheels are driven. If the engine speed reaches the correct limit (by the throttle control) then it will engage the clutch and the power output of the engine being transmitted to the wheels.

The braking system

Like the "full size" cars, most fuel RC cars also have a braking system. The braking system of a model car has been connected to the throttle, if there is inhibited, the carburetor will completely close it. If gas is given, the brake system will become free. The brakes are put into place by the throttle on the remote past the center to withdraw.

Do not use the finger, any piece of wood or any piece of timber stop the flywheel. This will slow down the motor in order that it may cause to burn the motor almost immediately.
